Hey everyone….just a quick note to let you know that my very first coat drive will officially kick off in full force this Monday after a BIG WIN against Cleveland!!

The coats will be going to the homeless and other disadvantaged folks in Howard and Baltimore counties. In Howard County, they will benefit the Community Action Council and in Baltimore they will benefit the Helping Up Mission and women and children from The House of Ruth.
In Howard County there are 127 people who are homeless and staying in emergency shelters and as of a few months ago there were 47 people with no shelter other than car if anything at all. In Baltimore, there are over 300 men that will be served by the Helping Up Mission and about the same amount at the House of Ruth. Any surplus of coats will be donated to other various homeless shelters. OUR GOAL IS TO COLLECT OVER 2500 COATS AND OTHER WARMTH ITEMS!!! WE CAN DO IT!!
We will be collecting gently used coats, scarves, gloves and blankets that are all in good condition. We are looking for a couple of dry cleaners or laundromatS to donate the cleaning of the coats….if you know of anyone who can help, please hit me up at willismcgahee@rocketmail.com
